Abstract
The analytical report presents the results of the study “Use of the Educational Monitoring Results in General Secondary Schools in Ukraine," conducted in 2025–2026 by researchers of the Department of Monitoring and Assessment of the Quality of General Secondary Education at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. Based on a large-scale survey of secondary school teachers in general secondary schools in Ukraine (N = 18,581), the report provides a comprehensive analysis of teachers’ views on various aspects of using the results of educational monitoring studies in their professional practice. Particular attention is given to teachers’ awareness of the results of education quality monitoring and to the analysis of the purposes and levels of their practical use in schools. The report examines the factors that influence teachers’ assessments of the practical potential, feasibility, and effectiveness of educational monitoring results, as well as the barriers that hinder their application in the educational process. The report is descriptive, analytical, and interpretive in nature. It presents the results of frequency and comparative analyses, an analysis of statistical associations between key indicators, a synthesis of teachers’ open-ended responses, and recommendations for increasing the practical relevance of monitoring study results for school practice. An important strength of the study is that the research data, the codebook, and the description of the research methodology are available in open access. This complies with the principles of open science, ensures the transparency and reproducibility of the research and analytical procedures, and enables the reuse and verification of the findings. The report is intended for specialists in educational analytics, monitoring, and assessment of education quality; education policymakers; heads of general secondary education institutions; staff of the in-service teacher education system; researchers of pedagogical practice; and teachers interested in using educational data to make evidence-based professional decisions.
