Abstract

The monograph presents research findings on the social and psychological foundations of professional development in crisis and post-crisis contexts in contemporary society. It explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of professionalization as a multilevel social and psychological phenomenon that encompasses individual, interpersonal, and organizational dimensions of personal development among professionals. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of value-based and humanistic orientations, psychological resources, and factors that promote stability, autonomy, reflexivity, spirituality, and resilience among professionals in challenging socioeconomic and professional contexts. The monograph examines the interplay between individual psychological and social and organizational factors in professional development, as well as their relationship with psychological well-being and life competence. Drawing on the research findings, the monograph establishes the scientific foundations of social and psychological support for professional development, conceptualized as a system that sustains professionals’ mental health, adaptive capacity, and professional self-realization during crises and post-crisis recovery. It outlines the content, components, conditions, and methods of such support, aimed at fostering professional maturity and strengthening individuals’ internal resources in the context of work. The monograph is intended for both psychology researchers and practitioners, including educators, doctoral students, students, psychologists, social work professionals, and leaders of educational institutions and organizations who are interested in understanding and supporting individual professional development in crisis and post-crisis contexts.
