Abstract

The monograph provides a comprehensive theoretical substantiation of didactic systems of specialized secondary education in the context of the modernization of complete general secondary education. It presents the theoretical foundations for developing a conceptual model of the didactic system of specialized secondary education, describes its structural components, and identifies the interrelationships that ensure its systemic coherence. The specific features of didactic systems in different types of educational institutions are examined, including lyceums, vocational colleges (vocational education and training institutions), professional pre-higher and higher education institutions, specialized education institutions, and special education institutions, with consideration of their organizational and institutional characteristics. The monograph analyses international approaches to the organization of specialized secondary education and identifies opportunities for adapting relevant international experience to the Ukrainian educational context. It examines current trends in the transformation of specialized secondary education in Ukraine, including those associated with blended and distance learning and the challenges of wartime conditions. Particular attention is given to the role of pedagogical technologies in supporting the competency-based development of learners, the model of the contemporary learner in specialized secondary education, and didactic mechanisms for ensuring continuity between pre-specialized preparation and specialized secondary education. The monograph synthesizes theoretical principles and practical guidelines that contribute to the coherence, effectiveness, and further development of didactic systems of specialized secondary education.
