Abstract

The methodological recommendations explore the use of the inquiry-based worksheet as a didactic tool for teaching the History of Ukraine in Grade 9. The structure of a system of inquiry-based tasks aligned with the learning outcomes of the civic and historical education field is presented, along with models for organizing inquiry-based learning, including cartographic, source-based and chronological quests, investigative quests, fact-checking, role-based and digital inquiry. Particular attention is given to the use of worksheets at different stages of a lesson, in individual, pair and group work, and in blended and distance learning with digital resources and generative artificial intelligence. Practical recommendations are provided for organizing students’ inquiry activities, formative assessment, reflection, and the development of historical thinking.
