Abstract
The article examines the methodology of organizing and conducting philosophical exercises in primary school within the integrated course “I Explore the World”. The study substantiates the relevance of philosophical dialogue as an effective tool for developing critical, creative, and reflective thinking in younger learners. Psychological and pedagogical prerequisites for implementing philosophical exercises are analyzed with consideration of the age characteristics of first- and second-grade students. The key requirements for organizing philosophical dialogue are defined, including alignment with curriculum objectives, adherence to a clear procedural algorithm, a facilitative teacher position, equality of participants, and mandatory reflective completion. The paper presents a generalized lesson structure integrating stages of individual reflection, group interaction, and collective discussion. It is argued that systematic use of philosophical exercises fosters students’ ability to justify their opinions, listen to others, analyze diverse perspectives, and become aware of their own thinking processes. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of a structured lesson model and methodological guidelines for primary school teachers.
