Abstract

The development of science and corresponding changes in human social life over recent decades have led to both positive and negative consequences for the psyche of the average person. Youth react to these changes with particular speed, which is a natural process, effectively serving as a testing ground or a kind of "experimental group" for the application of technologies, ideas, and modern social messages. Representatives of the youngest generations — the so-called "Z" and "Alpha" — demonstrate both a shared problem of high levels of anxiety (relative to older generations) and significant differences in the causes and manifestations of this anxiety compared to one another. Understanding the triggers of increased anxiety among representatives of different generations can accordingly contribute to the more effective development and implementation of multi-level psychoprophylaxis and psychological assistance within the "adolescent/youth – family – educational institution – community" system.
