Abstract

This paper justifies the use of Google Analytics 4 web analytics tools as a technological means of monitoring the web resources of scientific institutions within the framework of the Open Science paradigm. It highlights the challenge of transitioning from the theoretical declaration of the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) – which ensure discoverability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability in the field of educational sciences – to their practical and empirical verification. A methodology for configuring Google Analytics 4, adapted to the needs of scientific institutions, is proposed, which includes setting special parameters for tracking digital object identifiers (DOI), authors (ORCID), and specific events. A correspondence matrix between the FAIR categories and Google Analytics 4 metrics is presented. The practical experience of the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the Natіonal Academy of Educatіonal Scіences of Ukraіne regarding the use of web analytics for the strategic management of scientific assets is described.
