Abstract
The scientific article provides a comprehensive political-psychological, theoretical, and methodological analysis of the processes of mythologization within the modern political sphere under the conditions of social instability and systemic socio-cultural transformations. The technological nature of the political myth as an instrument of governance, manipulation, and influence on mass consciousness, which targets the specific expectations of the crowd rather than objective reality, is investigated. The complex interaction between rational and irrational components in political practice is analyzed, arguing that rational cognition requires demythologization, while the practical realization of any future-oriented political project necessitates remythologization. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of modern Ukrainian mythologemes ("revival", "European choice", "Slavic idea") and their role in constructing national identity and overcoming social anomie. Based on empirical sociological data, the dynamics of public attitudes toward European integration vectors, the assessment of historical figures, and the specifics of value orientations among residents of different regions of Ukraine are studied. The role of the media space is critically analyzed, where the dominance of political commentators and "interpreters" creates informational noise and hinders the penetration of scientific, rational thought. It is substantiated that social myth-making acts as an inherent element of election campaigns, where the use of populism and black PR technologies leads to the flourishing of destructive myths that deform public consciousness.
