Abstract

A comprehensive political-psychological, theoretical, and methodological analysis of the processes of mythologization within the modern political sphere in Ukraine under the conditions of globalization shifts and systemic socio-cultural crises is carried out. The complex nature of the interaction between rational and irrational components in the field of mass consciousness and real political practice is investigated. It is argued that despite the technological progress of the 21st century, political myths do not disappear but rather transform, adapting to new cultural trends and integrating with rational tools of state governance. Theoretical approaches to the typification of political actions are examined through the lens of concepts by L. Sanisteban, S. Moscovici, N. Machiavelli, and V. Pareto. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of artificial (political-technological) and mass levels of myth-making. The socio-cultural protective and constructive functions of myth are identified as a mechanism for overcoming social anomie, relieving social tension, and shaping collective identity. Based on empirical sociological data, the dynamics of Ukrainian society's perception of European integration vectors, joining NATO, and the domestic political declarations of the government are analyzed. It is substantiated that the successful integration of the state into the global security system and the implementation of large-scale reforms directly depend on the presence of a positive, consolidating state myth, backed by real pragmatic actions, the factor of public faith, and the demonstration of concrete practical results.
