Abstract
The professional development programme “Psychological Accessibility in Higher Education: Developing University Educators’ Dialogical Self-Authorship as a Mechanism for Professional Resilience and Mental Health” is designed to enhance the professional competence of teaching, academic, and research staff in higher education institutions in creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment. The programme is based on the author’s concept of educators’ dialogical self-authorship as a psychological mechanism for integrating professional identity, reflection, and emotional resilience. It combines the principles of Dialogical Self Theory and the concept of self-authorship and aims to develop educators’ capacity to recognise and integrate multiple I-positions, establish internal criteria for professional practice, make responsible professional choices, and maintain professional resilience in the context of digital transformations, crisis-related challenges, and uncertainty. The programme covers psychological and emotional resilience, self-regulation, empathic communication, partnership and trust, professional identity, reflection, self-efficacy, and the development of an individual professional development trajectory. The programme comprises 90 hours / 3 ECTS credits, is delivered over eight weeks, and is offered online.
