Abstract

The dissertation abstract presents the results of a theoretical and experimental study of the organizational and pedagogical conditions required to prepare senior high school students for professional self-determination in inter-school training and production centers. It substantiates the essence, structure, criteria, indicators, and levels of students’ readiness for professional self-determination. The study identifies and experimentally verifies a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions that enhance the effectiveness of career guidance, including the career-oriented content of specialized vocational training, consideration of students’ individual psychophysiological characteristics, the use of occupational studies and vocational trials, and career counseling conducted in cooperation with parents. Methodological recommendations were developed for teaching staff at inter-school training and production centers to support students in making informed career choices. The findings may be applied in general secondary education, specialized training, career guidance, and postgraduate teacher education.
