Abstract
The paper analyzes the evolution of socio-humanitarian knowledge in Ukraine during the 11th–18th centuries and its significance for overcoming the modern crisis in domestic humanitarian education. Four main stages of this historical development are identified and characterized: worldview transformation (11th – first half of the 13th century), worldview crisis (second half of the 13th – 16th century), the Enlightenment era (17th century), and the genesis of modern Ukrainian consciousness (18th century). The study reveals the specifics of the secular-religious and ascetic vectors of personality formation in Kyivan Rus, the role of polemical literature and brotherhoods in preserving cultural identity, the impact of the Kyiv-Mohyla Collegium and the phenomenon of "educated faith," as well as the features of the populist and monarchical intellectual trends of the 18th century.
