Abstract
The article examines the socio-humanitarian foundations for developing giftedness in children and youth within the modern educational system of Ukraine amidst the challenges of war and post-war reconstruction. The author analyzes conceptual philosophical and pedagogical ideas of Ukrainian thinkers (specifically H. Skovoroda’s concepts of the "inner human," the "duty of self-knowledge," and "kindred labor") as a spiritual foundation for forming a creative, autonomous, and self-reliant personality. The key levels of giftedness development (psychophysiological, psychological, socio-psychological, and pedagogical) are highlighted, emphasizing the education of citizens capable of self-reliance under conditions of ongoing instability. The study reveals the low effectiveness of current educational models due to systemic barriers: teachers' lack of inner freedom and academic autonomy, the prevalence of imitative reform practices, and the marginalization of social sciences and humanities in educational institutions.
