Abstract

The thesis highlights the role of socio-humanitarian knowledge as a factor in the formation of national identity, civic consciousness and value orientations of Ukrainians. The cultural, religious, political and educational prerequisites for its formation in the historical context of the eleventh and eighteenth centuries are revealed and the contribution of Ukrainian thinkers to the development of the humanitarian tradition is analysed.
