Abstract

The article examines the main trends in the development of social sciences and humanities education in the European Union countries and identifies the prospects for their implementation in reforming the Ukrainian educational system amidst the challenges of wartime and post-war reconstruction. The experience of post-communist countries regarding the de-ideologization of social sciences and humanities, as well as new social and geopolitical challenges, is analyzed. The key operational trends of socio-humanitarian education in developed democracies are highlighted, including internationalization, interdisciplinarity, a competence-based approach, the implementation of the "third mission" of universities, digitalization, and decentralization. A phased algorithm (analysis, adaptation, implementation, and monitoring) is proposed for the systematic integration of European practices into the Ukrainian educational space.
