Abstract

The article carries out a socio-psychological analysis of misunderstandings between the families of military personnel and the church community in the conditions of a full-scale war as a factor affecting the state of civil security and social cohesion of society. The purpose of the study is to identify the social and psychological mechanisms of the formation of tension in the interaction of these groups, the analysis of group protective reactions in a situation of chronic stress, and the justification of unifying practices and mechanisms for resolving misunderstandings. It is shown that the social distance between military families and the church community is largely caused by different experiences of war, asymmetry of emotional and social resources, as well as the activation of individual and collective psychological defense mechanisms. It is justified that manifestations of emotional "coldness", distancing, or a decrease in empathic interaction should not be considered as indifference, but as a form of collective protective response to prolonged stress, losses, and a sense of threat, which at the same time limits the possibilities of constructive dialogue. Special attention is paid to the spiritual and value dimension of interaction. It has been proven that for Christian communities, an important basis for preserving unity is the orientation towards a common spiritual identity, which shifts the emphasis from mutual evaluations and claims to the internal responsibility of the individual and the development of tolerance and mutual respect. This approach promotes acceptance of diversity of life and spiritual positions within the community. The conducted theoretical analysis gives reason to assert that the reduction of tension and strengthening of trust in the interaction between families of military personnel and the church community can be facilitated by the implementation of unifying practices, in particular, the creation of safe spaces for communication, the development of empathic interaction, the use of mediation formats, systematic support for families of military personnel, resocialization of veterans, and spiritual solidarity. The implementation of such approaches potentially contributes to increasing the psychological resilience of the community and civilian security in the conditions of war.
