Abstract
In cognitive psychology, social responsibility is viewed as the result of complex interactions between cognitive processes such as situation appraisal, decision-making, and moral reasoning. Particular attention is paid to how people interpret social situations, evaluate moral dilemmas, and make decisions based on these evaluations. Cognitive theories indicate that social responsibility is not simply an emotional or moral impulse, but also the result of awareness and analysis of social norms and obligations.
