Abstract

In the context of modernizing Ukraine’s vocational education system, advancing the competency-based approach, and integrating into the European educational space, there is a growing need to enhance the professional training of pedagogical staff, particularly dormitory educators in vocational education institutions. Their work is aimed at creating a safe and educational living environment, organizing socio-pedagogical support for students, and fostering their civic, moral, and professional qualities. The objective of the professional development program, "Professional Development of Dormitory Educators in Vocational Education Institutions in the Context of Educational Environment Modernization," is to develop the integral, general, and professional competencies of dormitory educators. These competencies ensure the effective organization of educational activities, provide socio-pedagogical support for students, create a safe educational environment, and increase the effectiveness of professional practice. The program includes a complex of educational components, such as core and elective modules, aimed at shaping modern approaches to organizing educational work in dormitories, developing communicative, socio-pedagogical, and organizational-managerial competencies, and improving interaction skills with all participants in the educational process. The implementation of this program contributes to improving the quality of educational work in vocational institutions and provides the conditions for the continuous professional development of pedagogical staff. This professional development program is designed for dormitory educators in vocational education institutions, as well as for pedagogical staff whose work involves organizing educational and socio-pedagogical activities with students.
