Abstract

The theses present the formation of national identity and patriotic values ​​of school youth in Ukraine during the period of independence. It reveals how multinational education in Ukraine applied the “principle of internationalism”, which was implemented through educating students in the spirit of deep respect for the history and culture of their people, for the originality and equality of cultures of all peoples living in Ukraine, for world history and culture, awareness of the importance of development and mutual enrichment of national cultures and universal human values ​​through the study of national languages, languages ​​of interethnic and international communication.
