Abstract
The function of career guidance as an important mechanism of social and educational support for applicants for higher education is highlighted. It acts as an intermediary between individual aspirations, educational systems, and the broader socio-economic environment. It is emphasized that without systematic support, their choice of future profession may be influenced mainly by incomplete information, social stereotypes, or external pressure from peers and family. It is characterized that career guidance provides access to reliable information about admission requirements, study programs, learning outcomes, and career prospects.
