Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of self-directed learning among academic staff at higher education institutions in the context of current transformations and military challenges. A classification of current trends in the self-education activities of scientific and pedagogical staff at higher education institutions is proposed based on specific criteria. The developed systematization allows for structuring the priority areas of professional development for faculty members and outlining guidelines for enhancing the effectiveness of their self-education.
