Abstract

The monograph is devoted to the issue of individuals’ attitudes toward their own health during the intensive phase of the war (2022–2025). It examines the phenomena of threatening life circumstances, life-creation style, self-rated health, self-compassion, and psychological capital within the context of war. The study identifies how civilians perceive threatening life situations, what changes they introduce into their lifestyles during wartime, how their self-assessment of health changes, which self-recovery resources they use and accumulate, and how these resources contribute to adaptation and resilience. The monograph also demonstrates how self-recovery strategies have evolved in the years following the full-scale invasion. The publication is intended for researchers, university lecturers, master’s and doctoral students, early-career scholars, practicing psychologists, social and healthcare professionals, specialists working in the field of health, as well as a broad readership interested in issues of health, well-being, and psychological adaptation under conditions of war.
