Abstract
This article examines the specific features of teaching writing to primary school pupils in the digital age. Writing is viewed not merely as a technical skill, but as a key factor in children’s cognitive, linguistic and communicative development. It focuses on the psychophysiological difficulties faced by pupils aged 6–7, which are exacerbated by the influence of the digital environment (fragmented thinking, problems with attention, memory and speech). The need to adapt writing methodology is justified: diversifying tasks, alternating forms of activity, and integrating traditional exercises with creative and playful techniques. The importance of preparatory work in pre-school and the involvement of parents in the development of fine motor skills and sensorimotor coordination is emphasised. It is concluded that writing instruction should integrate sensorimotor, cognitive and emotional-motivational components, fostering in children the ability for self-regulation, self-expression and creativity within a digital environment.
