Abstract

The theses examine the relevance of integrating the sociocultural (intercultural) component into the content of foreign language courses for professional communication for IT students. Contemporary textbooks and teaching approaches are analyzed, revealing a predominant focus on technical communication skills with insufficient attention to the intercultural dimension. The necessity of incorporating the sociocultural component is substantiated, taking into account the specific nature of the IT field as a globalized and culturally embedded domain. The role of intercultural competence in preparing IT specialists for effective communication in international teams and within today’s technologized society is emphasized.
