Abstract

The article addresses the problem of the main difficulties and specifics of losses in the education of students of basic secondary education during the war, the potential of monitoring studies, the role of empirical knowledge gained through research, in a comprehensive understanding of the state of the situation in education in detailed data on objectively existing characteristics and subjective assessments and self-assessments of students and teachers, which deepen these ideas and set a benchmark for the further development strategy of education, methodologies and digital tools for its implementation, in particular, regarding minimizing educational losses and improving the quality of the educational process. Selected results of large-scale monitoring of education during the war at the level of basic secondary education, conducted at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, are presented. The explanation of the experimental data of the monitoring survey is provided by a specific sample, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and in figures. The main difficulties and problems of learning observed at the basic level of education are classified, as well as possible ways to solve them in the scientific and methodological developments of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and using the potential of digital transformations in modern pedagogy.
