Abstract
The article substantiates the relevance of the ethnopedagogical approach to the formation of an individual's ecological culture in the conditions of multicultural education and global civilizational challenges. It is proved that the modern ecological crisis is not only technogenic, but also value-normative in nature, which necessitates the need to rethink the axiological principles of human interaction with the environment. The evolution of the philosophical-ecological paradigm is analyzed: from the anthropocentric model of exploitative nature use to the humanitarian paradigm of harmonious co-development in the "Man - Nature" system. It is determined that ethnopedagogy has significant potential for the systematic formation of intellectual, emotional-sensory and practical-activity components of ecological culture. The content of the ethnocultural module of humanitarian and ecological education is revealed, which integrates knowledge about the moral and ethical traditions of the attitude towards nature in different peoples, the folk ideal of a harmoniously developed personality, means of expressing a humanistic worldview in folklore, everyday life, and folk crafts. It is substantiated that traditional ethnoculture, devoid of technocratic anthropocentrism, affirms the philosophy of harmony, where the value of the individual is determined by the ability to coexist with nature. The influence of natural and geographical factors (steppe, forest, mountains) on the formation of ethnopsychological features and ecoethical traditions of Ukrainian ethnic groups is illustrated. The educational value of the paremiological fund, fairy-tale epic, and folk norms of behavior in nature as tools for the formation of empathy, aesthetic perception of the environment, and responsible nature use is proven. A model for implementing an ethnopedagogical approach through the integration of traditional means with modern technologies of socio-ecological practice is proposed. It is concluded that this approach contributes to the humanization of the educational process, the formation of tolerance, intercultural communication skills and civic responsibility, which fully corresponds to the priorities of the international strategy of education for sustainable development.
