Abstract

The work examines the impact of wartime conditions on marital relations and the main causes of conflicts in the family. The results of an empirical study were analyzed, which made it possible to single out the internal and external causes of marital conflicts. Internal causes include a decrease in the ability to self-regulate, which is manifested in an increased level of stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, aggression, and depressive states. Among the external causes, the influence of war events, the uncertainty of the future, the forced separation of partners, financial instability, as well as the negative influence of the media and a decrease in the quality of communication in the couple have been identified. It was established that the combination of these factors causes the occurrence and exacerbation of marital conflicts, contributing to the weakening of emotional support and the difficulty of mutual understanding between partners.
