Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of socio psychological aspects of resolving marital conflicts in the conditions of martial law. The purpose of the study was to identify the relationships between the individual psychological characteristics of one of the partners of the married couple (the level of anxiety, depression, aggression, resilience, emotional intelligence, perceived stress) and the efficiency of conflict resolution. The Spearman`s rank correlation coefficient was used to analyze, which allowed to establish statistically significant relationships between the psychological characteristics of the individual and the forms of behavior in conflict situations. The results have shown that high levels of anxiety and depression are associated with greater conflict, aggressive behavior and the use of defense mechanisms, while the increased level of resilience and the development of emotional intelligence contribute to the use of constructive interaction strategies, including cooperation and compromise. Statistically significant relationships identified, reflecting the psychological features of personality response to conflict and their impact on the settlement of marital disputes in the context of stressful factors of martial law.
