Abstract

It was established that the vast majority of respondents demonstrate average levels of post-traumatic cognitions and a certain level of cognitive resilience to threats. The study found that gender, marital and financial status, as well as the level of English language proficiency, are influential factors in the formation of negative beliefs about the world and oneself. Consequently, the most vulnerable groups for developing post-traumatic symptoms are individuals of "other" gender, those without a partner, and those who either lack sufficient financial resources or have an excess that fully covers all needs. Negative beliefs about the world among students are associated with the mastery of specific knowledge, namely low English language proficiency. Thus, a high level of post-traumatic cognitions affects students' cognitive-informational activity regarding the formation of operational readiness to counter environmental and epidemic threats. Extremely negative beliefs about the world and oneself may influence students' preference for exclusively visual forms (video content) of knowledge acquisition when mastering the skills and abilities necessary for future survival.
