Abstract
The article is devoted to conceptualizing the processes of transforming the scientific library into an information and analytical hub and substantiating the Smart EcoSystem approach as a tool for modernizing its functions in the digital era. In the context of the rapid digitalization of science and education, the growing volume of research data, and the development of open science, libraries are gradually moving beyond the traditional role of information storage toward becoming intellectual centers of analytics, scholarly communication, and research support. Against this backdrop, the need for new organizational and technological models becomes increasingly evident. In this regard, the Smart EcoSystem approach is viewed as an interactive digital environment that integrates information resources, analytical services, digital technologies, open science tools, and research collaboration platforms. Such a model ensures effective knowledge circulation, supports decision-making processes, fosters the development of research infrastructure, and contributes to the formation of a digital culture within the scientific community. Within this ecosystem framework, the library’s information and analytical hub encompasses semantic search capabilities, research data analytics, monitoring of scientific trends, research data management, and support for publication activity. Moreover, particular importance is attached to the use of digital collaboration platforms, artificial intelligence tools, and bibliometric services to enhance the visibility of research outputs and promote networked science. From a conceptual perspective, the article reveals the essence of the information and analytical hub within a scientific library, identifies its structural components, and outlines its functional capabilities within the Smart EcoSystem environment. In addition to the theoretical substantiation, the study provides an analytical overview of contemporary trends in library transformation and identifies directions for implementing digital services and analytical tools. Furthermore, the expediency of integrating information resources, analytical platforms, and open science services into a unified ecosystem environment is substantiated. Overall, theoretical generalization suggests that the development of an information and analytical hub can enhance access to scientific information, foster research culture, strengthen interinstitutional cooperation, and improve the effectiveness of scientific and educational activities. Consequently, the implementation of an ecosystem model creates preconditions for the formation of an innovative scientific and educational space and for Ukraine’s integration into the global research infrastructure.
