Abstract
An analysis of the problem of russification, its impact on the consciousness of Ukrainians and the consequences for the national security of Ukraine is presented. The importance of activating the de-Russification process, which should become a factor and guarantor of ensuring the country's sovereignty, and the leading role of education in promoting the de-russification of Ukrainian identities were emphasized. As a powerful social institution, education influences the formation of worldviews, interests, goals, and understanding and support, or denial, of certain socio-political phenomena and processes. Through the education system, values and worldviews are spread, which become the basis of national, civic, and pro-European Ukrainian identities. t is noted that the process of overcoming the consequences of Russification by Ukrainians is still gaining momentum and indicates the need to develop socio-psychological means to activate the process of de-Russification of Ukrainian identities and a conscious attitude towards it at the individual and community levels. This process is presented as a system of socio-psychological influences on the cognitive, rational (indication and awareness of facts and manipulative Russian narratives about one people, about a common history, culture, language, common worldview, etc.; argumentation, persuasion, development of critical thinking and reflection), emotional-motivational (strengthening of constructive emotional attitudes regarding the importance and necessity of de-russification of consciousness, orientation towards the values of freedom, dignity, autonomy, self-awareness of national dignity, etc.) and behavioral-operational (stimulation of personal activity in overcoming ideological Soviet stereotypes, prejudices, expanding the circle of communication in the Ukrainian language, working out protective mechanisms and overcoming manifestations of national inferiority, implementation of the national idea - language, traditions, symbols) levels. The prospect of further research is to determine the effectiveness of the proposed means of promoting the de-Russification of Ukrainian identities in the field of education.
