Abstract

The purpose of our study is to determine the features of the development of social responsibility of pedagogical workers of vocational education institutions. Responsibility in the psychological structure of the personality is characterized as its essential characteristic, as well as an integral property of the personality. Social responsibility is associated with the social (role) function of the teacher, which she assumes, and which, accordingly, has a certain meaning for her. It is also about the responsibility of the teacher as a tendency to perform her role functions, that is, to adhere to the social norms accepted in society in her behavior. Two groups of criteria for social responsibility of pedagogical workers of vocational education institutions can be distinguished: external (socio-psychological: features of the social and educational environment) and internal (individual-psychological: responsibility, conscientiousness, self-control, self-organization, internal locus of control, etc.). Its structure consists of cognitive, affective, value-motivational and conative components, the level of development of which components can be low, medium and high.
