Abstract

The theses reveal the pedagogical potential of visualization as an effective means of developing cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren in mathematics lessons. The role of objective, figurative and symbolic visualization in the formation of mathematical ideas, comprehension of educational material and maintenance of a stable interest in learning is substantiated. Attention is focused on the appropriate and methodically balanced use of visual aids in accordance with the age and cognitive characteristics of primary school students. Didactic conditions for the use of visualization are determined, which contribute to the activation of thinking, the development of independence and increasing the effectiveness of the educational process in mathematics.
