Abstract
The article examines the principles of sustainable development in vocational education under the conditions of a circular economy. The focus is placed on the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainability, which define new requirements for training specialists. The paper analyzes international experience in integrating circular economy principles into vocational education (EU, USA, Japan) and outlines key challenges for Ukraine, including the gap between labor market needs and educational programs, institutional and financial constraints, insufficient integration into global processes, and low public awareness. The authors emphasize the need to revise curricula, develop “green” and interdisciplinary competencies, and strengthen cooperation between educational institutions, business, and government. The conclusions highlight the strategic role of vocational education in preparing professionals for sustainable development and the transition to a circular economy.
