Abstract

The monograph presents a problem-based approach to the theory and practice of counseling psychology, which is based on a detailed and comprehensive analysis of psychological problems of a person. The severance of the problem as a subject of study makes it possible to present counseling psychology as a separate area of practical psychology. Problem-oriented counseling is based on a pragmatic generalization of various theoretical approaches in counseling and psychotherapy, primarily psychodrama, transactional analysis and systemic family therapy. The problem-oriented approach has proven creative both for real practice and for modeling counseling activities in an educational classroom. The second edition strengthens and expands the author's experiential-role approach in counseling and psychotherapy, as well as material on working with combat traumas and helping victims of information wars and collective traumas. For psychologists, psychotherapists, pedagogues, graduate students and students of psychological specialties of higher education institutions, as well as for everyone interested in the practice of psychological help to a person.
