Abstract

The article considers the basic theoretical provisions, principles of work and features of the practical application of the Multimodal Suggestive Psychotherapy (MSP). It is shown that MSP is a new, original and effective system of psychotherapeutic care, and its improvement and testing is a relevant area of scientific research. The purpose of the article is to determine the specifics of the main theoretical provisions, principles of work and methods of practical use of MSP, and to familiarize specialists with the new system of psychotherapeutic assistance. A comparative analysis and selection of the most logical and scientifically sound theoretical provisions were carried out and an internally consistent, effective system of psychotherapeutic influence was formed on their basis. It is shown how the ideas of cognitive-behavioral, suggestive and existential psychotherapy are creatively processed in MSP. The main modalities of psychotherapeutic suggestive influence are determined. It is proposed a new psychotherapeutic construct, such as the Personal ideal lifestyle. Attention is focused on the development of adaptive thinking and correction of a maladaptive picture of the world using MSP methods. It is presented a general working model for correction of a maladaptive worldview. The main sources of cognitive distortions are highlighted. It is shown that the key tool of psychotherapeutic influence should be suggestive persuasion in the waking state. The main methods of multimodal suggestive psychotherapeutic influence are highlighted. It is summarized that a positive psychotherapeutic effect can be achieved from suggestion of the lifestyle principles, such as: interdependence, continuous changeability, relativity, irreversibility, self-organization, dynamic equilibrium, conditional boundaries, continuity, contradiction, meaningful uncertainty. These principles allow to get over meaningful narrow-mindedness, static nature and absoluteness of dysfunctional thoughts. To transfer the basic lifestyle principles to a client it is necessary to apply psychotherapeutic confrontational suggestion. It is shown that MSP allows to increase significantly effectiveness of psychotherapeutic influence on people with mental and behavioral disorders.
