Abstract

The article raises the topic of the devaluation of personal desires against the background of the competition for material well-being, which negatively affects self-esteem and deepens the feeling of loneliness. The assessment of material success has no meaning at all against the background of deaths and other negative consequences of war. It examines the important role that loneliness plays, and how it can be perceived positively and negatively. It explains why it is so important to experience loneliness. It shows the connection between self-esteem, particularly low self-esteem, and loneliness. It mentions that some psychologists consider low self-esteem to be the main problem of loneliness. The article shows the types of loneliness: internal and external. It shows how military actions affect the deepening of internal loneliness and how this is connected with low self-esteem. It is repeatedly mentioned how important it is to seek help and offer help to each other to improve unsatisfactory psychological states during war.
