Abstract
These guidelines summarize the available evidence on the provision of pharmaceutical care and are designed to help pharmacists (with specializations in “general pharmacy”, “clinical pharmacy”, “pharmacy organization and management”) to propose the best approaches to the provision of pharmaceutical care. The guidelines do not cancel the individual responsibility of pharmacists for the provision of pharmaceutical care, taking into account the standards of Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), the European Resolution CM/Res (2020)3 on the implementation of pharmaceutical care for the benefit of patients and Health services and the Law of Ukraine “On Medicinal Products”. The pharmacist is also obliged to check the rules and regulations that apply in each country to medicinal products and medical devices, as well as to respect the ethical standards of his profession and the medical professions in the health sector when working as part of multidisciplinary teams and in further interprofessional interaction. The recommendations are based on the clinical evidence presented in the ESC Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Patients with High Blood Pressure and Hypertension. The strength of each ESC recommendation is presented in terms of the level of evidence. The expansion of Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) Roles and global best pharmaceutical practices are taken into account.
