Abstract

The article presents the author's reflection of the anthropocentric aspects of Hryhoriy Savych Skovoroda's philosophical reflections on the development and self-development of a person, reflected by him through the syncretic connection of biblical commandments, ideas of ancient thinkers, as well as moral principles of everyday life traditional for the Ukrainian people. A conclusion is made about the interpretation of ethical dichotomies by a prominent philosopher in favor of finding the true not in thought, but in experience.
