Abstract

Attention is focused on the important activity of educational libraries – in the information literacy of users. It was noted that in the conditions of various challenges of society, educational libraries implement their tasks at the local level through the dissemination of knowledge, effective tools and practical solutions. An example of the activity of V. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine as a space for information literacy is given. It was concluded that in order to increase the efficiency and quality of information resources of educational libraries, employees should focus their efforts on improving the information literacy of library users, as well as demonstrate the values of the library, inform about library services and support using information and communication technologies.
