Abstract

This work unveils the pivotal role of social competence in personal development and professional self-realization, given the current conditions of uncertainty and instability. The author thoroughly analyzes various aspects of social competence development, including its attributes and components, and highlights its significance in the contemporary social context through the lens of theoretical works and empirical studies. The article offers a comprehensive review of scientific approaches to social competence, including thoughts and definitions from various researchers and theorists, which point to its complex, multidimensional, and integrative nature. By examining theories and empirical data, emphasizes the necessity of understanding the mechanisms of social competence development and its impact on effective adaptation and self-realization of an individual in society. The research includes an analysis of pedagogical and psychological strategies aimed at developing social competence, pointing out the importance of interactive methods and active participation in social life for its formation. Social competence defines as the ability to interact effectively, which entails understanding and considering the positions of others, as well as the ability to achieve common goals through cooperation and communication. The work highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach to studying and developing social competence, which includes both theoretical and practical aspects. The significance of social competence is identified as a crucial aspect of its socialization and integration into society, having a direct impact on professional success and interaction with the social environment. A summary of studies shows that social competence incorporates a range of key competencies and is foundational for the development of a responsible, active personality capable of effectively adapting and interacting in various social contexts.
