Abstract
The era of new uncertainty poses many challenges to a person's mental state. The war makes the challenges extraordinary, so the problem of maintaining mental health is unprecedentedly acute, especially for those who find themselves in situations of trauma and chronic stress. Adults tend to demonstrate resilience and adaptation to stressful or extreme situations. Resilience is one of the manifestations of such resilience. Exploring the characteristics and ability of a person to adapt psychologically in traumatic adverse circumstances can help to create and develop special techniques for psychological preventive aid and to increase resilience, as well as to strengthen the ability to cope with stressful situations on their own.
