As a result of military actions, not only adults, but also children are psychologically traumatized. Especially the stresses in the conditions of war have a negative effect on the most vulnerable category of the population - children with special educational, particularly speech, needs. The article traces the mental health continuum of children with functional and speech difficulties, examines the neurobiological mechanisms of the occurrence and survival of psychotraumas in children at different age stages, analyzes the difficulties that arise in children in the process of educational activities, provides appropriate methodological recommendations for teachers and parents regarding their compensation, made emphasis on restoring children's attention and memory, the stages of children's grieving are traced.
