Abstract

In the theses the Ukrainian national costume as a means of symbolization in Gogol's "Evenings on a farm near Dikanka" is considered. The ways of typification of images of the Ukrainian girls, guys, otherworldly forces are analyzed on concrete examples. These images are not individualized in accordance with the author's creative idea - to present a typical holistic romantic picture of the Ukrainian world.
