Abstract

The monograph is devoted to the study of psychological features of interpersonal communication of elderly people as a complex process of forming emotional relationships of the individual with the people around him. This paper summarizes the views of scientists on this problem, developed a model of interpersonal communication of elderly people, proposed methods and techniques for it diagnostics, the results of diagnostics of features of the communicative, cognitive and regulatory subsystems of the elderly psyche are highlighted, the program of optimization of interpersonal communication of persons of this age and the recommendations for its improvement are presented. The book can be useful for scientists and practitioners in the field of psychology, gerontology, sociology, as well as anyone interested in the problems of the later stage of human life.
