Abstract

The article reveals the significance of professionally important qualities of secondary school principals', in particular, their professional tolerance and its component - communicative control. The author discusses the aspects of work of modern secondary schools, which can negatively affect school principals' communicative self-control, analyzes the relationship between school principals' communicative control and their professional efficiency. Communicative control, which has high, medium, low levels, is viewed as an effective managerial communication factor. The author analyzes the results of an empirical study on the communicative control among secondary school principals, in particular low level of their communicative control, and a system of organizational and psychological factors that affect secondary school principals' communicative control. The author also discusses the features of school principals' communicative control relevant to their gender, age, work experience, type of school, school location, etc. It is concluded that secondary school principals' communicative control can be promoted during their primary university training as well as during their advanced training in the system of post-graduate training.
