Abstract

To the 90th Anniversary of Fedir Arvat (18.04.1928 - 02.11.1999) - Full Member (Academician) of NAPS of Ukraine, Academician-Founder of NAPS of Ukraine, Candidate of Philology, Professor, Honored Worker of National Education of Ukraine (1999), Rector ( 1978-1995), Rector Advisor (1996-1999)of the Pedagogical Institute (now - Nikolay Gogol State University of Nizhyn). Fedir Arvat is a well-known organizer of education, researcher of problems of linguistics, history of the Ukrainian language, Russian-Ukrainian translation, Gogol studies. Author and co-author of Russian-language textbooks for high school with Moldovan language of instruction (seven editions). Editor and co-author works "Family encyclopedia" (1996), "Pedagogy of communication" (1997).
