Abstract

The guide sets out the provisions of the general and special methodology for systematic classification of documents according to tables of the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) in the sectoral aspect. Some methodological decisions are substantiated, principles of differentiation and compilation of documents on education, psychology, social security, medicine, law, etc. are given. Methodical recommendations for the organization of catalogs, card-index and databases according to UDC tables are given. The Practical Guide is intended for staff of educational libraries of different types and types. It can be useful to specialists of libraries of other systems and departments, and will be useful for those who are engaged in scientific, pedagogical and scientific-methodical activities.
