Abstract

The article analyzes a social dialogue as an instrument of social relationship constructions in a society which is differentiated functionally. The author shows that withdrawal of excessive universality and intersubstitutability of the elements of society is the determinative feature of such society. Thus, the social dialogue in the functionally differentiated society is defined as the communication process which participants represent different sectors of society. As a result, the opportunities are offered for the analysis of various effects of public life (namely, coordination of social relations, interaction between social groups, adjusting the sense codes of this interaction, juxtaposition of social values etc). The author emphasizes that success of social dialogue is closely related to the level of communicativeness of public sphere of the society, which effectiveness is provided by two resources: 1) communicativeness of textual constructions which function is to construct senses and to represent the content in which a social problem is being constructed; 2) communicativeness of intentions of the social dialogue participants, i.e. directedness at the mutual understanding, search for conventions. The most important social psychological effect of social dialogue as a conventional communication process is reaching the solidarity and trust among its participants.
