Abstract

The article deals with the problem of overcoming indeterminacy and risk in the process of life construction. It was determined that a necessary condition of modern’s life construction is risks’ management, their decline and minimization. It was found out that the risk management function is realized due to the personal stabilizing practices of life construction in the process of constructing a personal life. It was shown that stabilizing practices have situational character and temporarily take out structural and transformative practices into so-called background regime. Being under the background regime, structural and transformative practices implement the function of risks’ management due to maintaining of certain safe level of human interaction with the world and environment. Thus, the object of the research was an empirical study of the personal stabilizing practices, in which the risks’ management function is implemented. The empirical research was designed on the basis of postnonclassical methodology with the use of the methods of the narrative analysis. The initial theoretical principple of the research is the conception of narration and mentation as different forms of life construction practices’ existence, where event and procedural ways of being interpretation are respectively reproduced. According to the results of the narrative analysis, some life events have certain narrative potential for risk-reflexion development and reflective control of personal safety skills’ forming. The analysis of the texts has permitted to distinguish such interpretative risk models as: risk as an adventure; risk as a game; risk as the realization of a life choice (implementation of an optimum alternative); risk as experience gaining (self-testing). It is shown that risk minimization and risk reduction in the presented interpretative risk models occur due to charging another person with the duty of security guarantees; relying on the belief of personal disposition; searching forms of perfect designing; testing of personal capabilities and research self-examination in practice. In accordance with defined interpretative risk models the following stabilizing practices of life construction were distinguished: practices of security guarantee, practices of «making advances» with danger; practices of perfect future designing; practices of self-testing.
